Conference Work Scholarship Information

Who is Eligible?
Work Scholarships will be available to “volunteers,” which includes VISTA and AmeriCorps members, docents, and volunteers. A docent or volunteer must be a “regular” at their facility or program, working at least four hours per month, on average.

Award and Responsibilities
The Work Scholarship award will be worth $25 off of the conference registration cost. Thus, the cost for the conference will be reduced from $75 to $50. Each recipient will be responsible for working up to three hours during the conference, from the start of setup to final cleanup. They will be scheduled by a Volunteer Coordinator to meet both pre-planned and unplanned needs. The work time may result in missing one or more conference sessions.

Instructions for Applying for a Work Scholarship
There are a limited number of work scholarships available; therefore, they will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to all applicants that have filled out the application form completely, whose supervisors confirm their volunteer status, and who provide reasonable answers to the application questions.
