The 2008 NAI Region 8 Interpreters Workshop, "Spicing Up Interpretation in the Southwest" has extended its Call for Presenters through November 16, 2007. They are looking for program sessions with a strong emphasis on front-line interpretive skills. The conference will be held at the Desert Outdoor Center at the Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Phoenix, Arizona from February 28 to March 2, 2008.
The Southern Nevada Mathematics Council and the Nevada State Science Teacher’s Association will host the 2008 T3 Regional Conference (PDF) Feb. 8–9 at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas.
Travel 9,000 miles and follow the Antarctic adventures of Sharon Schaefer through daily postings, photographs, and more to highlight the natural and cultural history.
Planning is currently underway for the Our Places Tell Stories 2008 Conference! The conference will be held at the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas March 4-6 and will feature the theme: Education about the Environment – Designing With Our Communities. Our keynote speaker this year is David Sobel, the guru of placed-based education, who is director of teacher-certification programs at Antioch University New England, in Keene, New Hampshire.
